Wondering what beers to have at your Superbowl party? We will be pouring a few great Belgian and Belgian style beers from St Bernardus and Allagash, on Saturday February 6th from 3pm to 6pm, to help you decide.
These four food friendly ales will run the spectrum from very light and refreshing wits (wheat) to a big malty, spicy and lightly sweet dubbel and a Belgian style stout.
Allagash is one of America's premier Belgian style breweries and a leader in brewing food friendly beers. Since day one they've pushed their great beer as a companion to great food and even recently collaborated with San Francisco based chef, James Simpkins, on the Allagash cookbook.
Belgium based St. Bernardus brews the same beers with the same recipes from when they were still a licensed Trappist brewery brewing on behalf of the Trappist Monks of Westvleteren. Known for some of the worlds best beers, Bacchus customers have been big fans of their quad and Christmas ale. We are very excited to bring in one of their dubbels and the wit, which is actually a collaboration with the late Pierre Celis, the man responsible for bringing back the forgotten wit style in the mid sixties.
