Join us Friday, September 18th from 4-7pm as Ballast Point Brewing comes in to pour some of their incredible beers, including three of their famous IPA's.

Ballast Point has humble roots starting in 1996 in the back room of a home brewers supply store owned by Jack White who enlisted two of his buddies Yuseff Cherney and UC Davis master of brewing grad, Pete A'Hearn. Slowly building the brewery up they are now in Miramar with a 107,000 square foot state of the art brewery along with a tasting room and restaurant in San Diego's Little Italy and the original Home Brew Mart is still open. Not satisfied with just brewing beer they have entered the realm of distilling with some amazing examples including Three Sheets Rum.

Known for their IPA's Ballast Point built its reputation on Sculpin. Hopped at five different points and brewed with just a enough malt to hold the beer up and get out of the way letting the hops really shine. It's one of the worlds best IPA's. We will be tasting Sculpin, one of our favorites here at Bacchus, along with a few others from Ballast Point.
